Foundations of Great IT Leadership

The Foundations course is the cornerstone in a series of leadership development training programs that focus specifically on the needs of IT executives. This program begins the leadership development process where it must begin: with the basic values and philosophies that create an environment for high performance.

Through a thoughtful review of values and philosophies that have stood the test of time, each individual participant begins to see both his or her individuality and interdependence with others in a new way. Unlike most leadership development programs that focus solely on technique, the Foundations program centers on organizational values and principles that are fundamental to truly great leadership. Program participants explore the relationship between leadership and a high commitment, high performance environment. Through a mixture of ancient philosophy and real life business challenges important insights emerge as to values and behaviors essential for great leadership.

While the course is suitable for individual development, it is especially powerful when offered to intact management teams. In such cases, at the conclusion of the course, each team tests the utility of what they have learned by relating values and principles to familiar business scenarios from their own environment. Participants also join together to craft their own statement of values and commit as leaders and architects of their organizations environment to make them a reality with their own team or organization.
