Virtually every model of leadership centers on how leaders manage change. In order to be successful drivers of change, today's leader must understand the critical success factors for leading a change initiative, as well as the key roles and tools that accelerate the change process.

The Leading Change For Results process is an intense, interactive two-day workshop, grounded in a powerful 4-STEP CHANGE MODEL that will significantly build the "change capability" of teams. Each change team works on real strategic business issues that are important to the company. There are no simulations, just real problems.

The steps in the change model are:

FOCUSING begins with the current business context-where does the need for the change effort lie, what are the threats or opportunities that the organization faces and how will stakeholders be impacted. It also deals with the need for the organization to have a clear vision of the desired future state.

ENGAGING focuses on how to build commitment among key stakeholders, deal with resistance, and develop buy-in to the change. It also deals with communicating the change so that all stakeholders have a deep understanding of the need for change, the vision of the future and their role in ensuring the success of the change effort.

ALIGNING centers on managing the support structure for leading change, driving the business strategy, and pulling the key levers of structure, processes, human resource practices, metrics and rewards to support the change strategy.

SUSTAINING emphasizes how to reinforce progress throughout the change effort and how to evaluate progress by building a disciplined approach to consistently monitor and measure the change effort.

The workshop concludes with the building of an executable action plan that will be implemented by the change capability team that describes the key goals, objectives and metrics of the change effort as well as identifies the major tasks, responsibilities and timing of each major step of the change process.

This CLS workshop-as with all CLS workshops-can be delivered through an interactive CD-ROM where customized material and interactive exercises lead to a higher level of engagement in the material taught in the class, and a deeper level of learning. This CD-ROM based course is entertaining and engaging and can be team based, self-paced or led by a skillful facilitator.
