High Performance Coaching is designed for high
potentials, which do not significantly benefit
from traditional coaching approaches. High potentials
already perform at a high level and therefore
do not need Performance Improvement coaching.
They also have few glaring competency weaknesses-so
they may not significantly benefit from Development
Coaching. CLS designs High performance coaching
systems to place high potentials in challenging
experiences, and maximizes their learning through
coaching.
CLS builds coaching systems where coaches support
high potentials to learn the most from key experiences.
High potentials respond to this support with strong
motivation to undertake challenging experiences,
which results in significant learning. In contrast
to the traditional coaching approach, high performance
coaching focuses on building the self-confidence
of the employee. By systematically placing high
potential employees in a series of key experiences
where the high potential succeeds, their development
increases and their self-confidence grows.
